Base on the history and development of jazz in US, the course introduces the various styles and formats of jazz, as well as those interrelating music like pop and else.  The course will be delivered with videos, music analysis, "improvisation" exercise and simple music theory.

Jazz should not be seen as something high-class or even old or out-fashioned.  Jazz indeed has inspired many poets, film producers, photographers, dancers and sculptors.   It has also become a tool in human rights and social activities.  With the speaker’s experiences and network in US, Europe and Asia, you will be fascinated by the most updated news and happenings in the industry.
