Born in Hong Kong. Hong started learning the bass at age 16 and began playing rock music 2 years later. Later on, he started to play jazz and pop music at the the age of 23. To date, he has performed and recorded for includes Miriam Yeung, Twins, Gigi Leung, Sally Yep, Candy Lo, Faye Wong, Andy Hui, Alan Tam, Hacken Lee, Eason Chan, Karen Mok, Jade Kwan and etc….He has been touring with top Asian pop star- Faye Wong extensively since 2004 to 2006. In the past, he supplied film scoring for Cantonese film “Sum Sze Sze”.
Besides pop scene, Hong established himself as a jazz musician. Over the past 8 years, he has played the Krakow Art festival (Poland) 2001, Seoul Fringe Festival 2004, Hong Kong Jazz festival 2005. Toured with a jazz band called “JR” in Shanghai and Tsing Tao, China. Nearly for last year, he has performed the “Vietnam Cultural Festival” and “Bangkok International Jazz Festival” with 2 jazz giants – Eugene Pao and Ted Lo.生於香港的曾德康，十六歲開始學低音結他，兩年後開始玩滾石樂，二十三歲開始玩爵士樂及流行音樂，他曾為不少流行歌星伴奏及錄音，例如楊千華、Twins、梁詠琪、葉倩文、盧巧音、王菲、許冠傑、譚詠麟、李克勤、陳亦迅、莫文蔚和關心妍等歌星伴奏，從2004年至2006年曾德康為亞洲頂尖的流行歌后王菲作巡迴的演出，並且為廣東電影「心思思」寫配樂。
除了流行樂壇外，曾德康亦是一位爵士樂家，過去八年曾德康參與各種藝術節，例如2001年波蘭的Krakow 藝術節 (Krakow Art Festival)，2004年首爾的藝穗節(Seoul Fringe Festival)，2005年香港爵士樂節。此外，他與爵士樂隊JR在上海及青島巡迴演出，去年他與本港的兩位爵士樂巨星包以正及羅尚正分別在越南文化節(Vietnam Cultural Festival)及曼谷國際爵士樂節(Bangkok International Jazz Festival)演出。
